Many new ideas never reach their potential of being viable companies – this is often due to lack of experience, networks, resources, or the right physical setting. At COBIS, we offer an incubator for entrepreneurs, research projects, and new innovative biotech firms. It’s a creative space where you can (further) develop your business ideas, create professional and personal networks, and hone your entrepreneurial skills and knowledge.

A tailor-made development program
We offer a free introductory meeting where together we can evaluate the challenges that your project or business is facing. If we find that establishing a company is plausible (admission to the incubator) you will gain access to a tailor-made business development program in several steps, focusing on the pivotal elements for the creation of a viable business.

The time from the first contact with us to the final formation of a company typically takes 2-3 years, but this process can be more rapid depending on your actual project. We offer a very flexible program that gradually intensifies towards creating a base for you to successfully establish your business.

We’ll help you find answers to a number of critical questions:

• What does it take to commercialize an idea, and is your idea ready?
• What are the different steps in the process and which are critical?
• How do you get started, who do you contact?
• What about IPR, legal conditions, and financing?
• What can you do to make your idea ready for commercialization?

Why not take on a mentor?
If you would like one, we can provide you with a mentor to be your daily sparring partner on all issues and who will help you establish a professional network. Your mentor will help you uncover critical factors to obtain financing and guide you in basic business disciplines (documentation, safety, etc.).

Your stay in the incubator includes a desk in an office and access to laboratories, as well as a standard package of basic services to make your daily life easier.
