INCUBATE! Activity Line

  1. Bootcamps (5 different in total)
    • Who can apply: Post-docs, Master’s students, graduates, scientists, doctors and other professionals working on ideas in MedTech, Biotech, Digital Health, Healthtech, scalable eHealth and diagnostics.
    • Application deadlines:
    • First wave: 13th March – 3 Bootcamps available
    • Second wave: 17th June – 2 Bootcamps available
  1. Bootcamp Plus: Health Venture Lab
    • Who can apply: Master’s students, graduates, scientists and young professionals
    • Application deadlines: 13th March
  1. Caixa Impulse
    • Who can apply: Project Leaders who are legally responsible for their project and have tertiary qualifications (university graduates, professors or doctors) – no registered companies.
    • Application deadline: 18th March

  1. Headstart Funding – Please read the specific attached Headstart call document with all necessary details before applying. Is yet to be finalized as some links are not working but please keep an eye on the final version here.
    • Who can apply: Start-ups and SMEs developing new products and services to shorten time-to-market and accelerate market entry and create new economic activity. Max funding per application per year: €50K.
    • Application deadline: 27th March
  1. Living Labs and Test Beds
    • Who can apply: Start-ups and SMEs that want to test and improve their product on a real environment.
    • Application deadline: January 25th, March 29th, May 24th, July 12th, September 13th, October 25th
  2. Mentoring and Coaching Network
    • Who can apply: Experts willing to mentor and entrepreneurs seeking mentor.
    • Application deadline: Ongoing, no deadline

SCALE! Activity Line

  1. European Health Catapult – see also attached flyers and specifc additional section below
    • Who can apply: Already incorporated micro and small enterprises (<50 employees), spin-offs and startups incorporated in Europe. If selected after the 1st stage of regional selection (remote evaluation + pitch competition), the participants are required to attend local training events, as well as semi-finals in locations across Europe and should also be willing to travel to the EIT Health Summit in Paris, in December 2019 for the finals.
    • Application deadline: 27th March, applications are gone through regional selection
    • Who can apply: Digital Health companies (eHealth, mHealth, Clinical decision support, Big Data and even MedTech, Lifetech and Biotech with a digital component) who are looking for internationalisation, expansion and soft-landing in other European countries and markets.
    • Application deadlines:
    • First wave: 27th February
    • Second wave: TBD (Mid May)
  1. Investor Network
    • Who can apply: Start-ups seeking financing from €500K to more than €30M.
    • Application deadline: Ongoing, with quarterly cut-off dates for evaluation
  2. Crowdfunding (more info here)
    • Who can apply: Mature start-ups or SMEs searching for equity of at least €500K
    • Application deadline: Ongoing, no deadline
  1. Go Global (4 different in total)
    • Who can apply: Mature start-ups or SMEs with the ambition to expand their international market reach
    • Application deadlines: 27th March


  1. On applications submission: Applications for all Accelerator programmes must be submitted through the platform Optimy (requires creating an account). A few programmes accept application through different platforms, please see catalogue.
  2. On Accelerator catalogue: The attached Accelerator catalogue is yet to be finalized, however, it will be hardly changed as a very few details are not yet in place. We therefore spread the catalogue already now due to a few deadlines that approach for some of the programmes. Please, keep an eye ahead for the Accelerator website for the updated catalogue and ask us as well.
  3. On this invitation email: This invitation email will be sent also directly from us to startups supported by our partners and which have participated the previous years in different Accelerator programmes.

Applicants of the European Health Catapult (EHC) programme

  1. The prize money for winners of the 3 categories (BioTech, MedTech and Digital Health) during the finals at EIT Health Summit have changed since last year. The new prizes in 2019 for all 3 categories will be:
    1. 1st place €40K (€20K in 2018)
    2. 2nd place €20K (€15K in 2018)
    3. 3rd place €10K (same in 2018)
  2. The applications that will be selected from remote evaluation of the 1st stage of regional selection, are required to participate in the subsequent regional pitch competition in Stockholm, 27 May. Travel expenses (if necessary) will be covered for participating in the pitch competition. Please, mark the date in your calendars.
  3. The finally selected companies from entire regional selection process (thereafter semifinalists), are required to participate in the subsequent pitch training activity in June so to better get prepared to participate in semifinals. Place TBD, travel expenses (if necessary) will be covered.
  4. All eligible for remote evaluation Digital Health applications will receive a basic scholarship in One Million by One Million first global virtual accelerator, headquartered in Silicon Valley (info here). Further, the selected semifinalists in Digital Health category will receive a premium scholarship.
